There's a good chance he'll still get nicked by those blades on the landing which is bad but this is going to come to a close soon anyway... and, well, he hasn't seen what Daud's done because he's not had the chance, and that is the most fortunate thing of all. Rather than try to pull himself to safety he would have made a much more drastic movement.]
